When it comes to treating patients, whether as a doctor, nurse, dentist or mental health profession there are many rules and regulations that you need to follow. This is both to protect those that are being consulted with and treated as well as the medical professionals themselves. Although these professionals take their roles very seriously there is always the possibility of human error and malpractice can occur.

Medical malpractice is when professional negligence occurs in the medical field. This can apply to doctors and nurses as well as other professionals in this field such as psychologists and dentists. Although all of these individuals are highly skilled there can be instances where they feel the need for extra support from Medical Indemnity Insurance, these instances include when they need to provide emergency treatment or first aid to an individual and if, due to their skills and expertises, they ever feel draw into helping people outside of their work environment.
